| Mechanicsburg Finishes 4th in State and Sets School Record for Wins |
The Wildcats wrapped up a successful weekend at the state tournament by finishing 4th in AAA and setting the school record for wins in a season at 17. Along the way they knocked off two undefeated district champs in Central Mountain (District 6) and Owen J. Roberts (District 1) in the first two rounds. In the semi-finals the wildcats fell to very talented Erie McDowell squad. Falling to the consolation semi-finals had Mechanicsburg facing North Allegheny (District 7 runner-up). The wildcats dispatched them surprisingly easy with a 43-22 win and advanced to the 3rd place match against Central Dauphin. They lost in another hard fought contest with the rams.

| Wildcats Put Down Bulldogs 32-31 in District Semi-Finals |
In a much anticipated match the Wildcats took on the Bulldogs of Big Spring. It was a close match with critical wins coming from Alex Spaseff (106) and Aaron Davis (145). They are a pair of seniors who don't get a lot of attention due to the talent at the upper half of the order. They have been wrestling better each week and now in the team championships their performance could not have been timed better!
With the win the wildcats are now 14-0 on the season and will face Central Dauphin for the district title on Saturday at 1:30pm at Milton Hershey High School. They have also earned a first round bye in the PIAA Team Championships being held at the Giant Center February 9th, 10th and 11th.

| Junior High goes 2-3 at Cedar Crest Duals |
The Jr. High Wildcats won 2 and lost 3 yesterday at the Cedar Crest Duals, putting the team at 6-6 for the season. There were 8 open weights based on eligibility, injury, etc, so for the kids to have pulled out 2 wins yesterday was pretty remarkable. Undefeated for the day were Tirdao, Tochterman, and Wasson. The coaching staff is very proud of the way that the team wrestled. The scores are listed below.
Mechanicsburg 22 Annville-Cleona 64
Mechanicsburg 31 Milton Hershey 72
Mechanicsburg 33 Mortheastern 63
Mechanicsburg 45 Ephrata 34
Mechanicsburg 39 Harrisburg 29

| Wildcats Beat Susquehanna Twp 53-12 and Repeat as Keystone Division Champs |
The Mechanicsburg grapplers fell behind early with the match starting at 285. Sawyer Mundorf wrestled a great match going the distance with Averee Robinson, defending state champ, and only giving up a 3 point decision. From there it was pretty much a downward spiral for the Indians with a decision at 120 and a fall from Daniel King at 132 being their only other scoring. The wildcats middle and upper weights took control and never looked back.

| Wildcats Beat Middletown on Sr. Night 44-20 |
The 11 seniors and their parents were introduced on what may have been their last home match. That all depends on the power ratings and how far we go in the team championships. Leaving nothing to chance the wildcats jumped out to an early lead with the starting weight of 138 and had the match put away before Middletown's powerful lightweights ever saw the mat. Getting pins for the wildcats were Weaver, Barr and Mundorf.
The team's next match is at Susquehanna Twp next Thursday.
